Our history
The Supportive Brotherhood of Fatherly Mentors traces its origins to a shared vision for fostering stronger families and healthier communities. On November 3, 2022, a dedicated group of individuals formalized this vision by creating SBFM and adopting foundational bylaws that continue to guide the organization today.
Founding Purpose
From the outset, SBFM was established as a nonprofit corporation committed to educational, motivational, societal, and charitable objectives, emphasizing the belief that engaged, well-supported fathers form the cornerstone of stable families. The organization’s core purposes, as outlined in its bylaws, include:
- Promoting, sponsoring, and conducting activities aimed at developing and maintaining strong families.
- Conducting and sponsoring programs for fathers to improve relationships with children and spouses.
- Encouraging individuals to build stronger communities by supporting fathers and families.
- Fostering positive mental health for fathers to bolster childhood development and encourage safe households.
